The Santa Barbara Courthouse, known for its historic architecture distinctive four-faced clock tower, artwork, elegant arches and sunken garden making it an ideal wedding venue.

Inside, the The Courthouse you’ll see works of art unlike any other public buildings in the region. Elaborate hand-painted murals, ornate wrought-iron chandeliers and brightly painted wall embellishments surround you when in the Chapel. Gorgeous details are everywhere, including the ceiling in the Mural Room, which is just as intricately painted as the walls. In the Clock Gallery, the ceiling is decorated with the exact constellations from the night sky when Santa Barbara was named in 1602, complete with sparkling fiber optics.
The building has attained multiple architectural design awards, including the 2016 AIA Design Honor Award praising the Mural Room, and the 2012 Tucker Design Award complimenting the entire Courthouse building.
Currently, the courthouse hosts numerous community and private events, such as Old Spanish Days-Fiesta, wedding ceremonies, corporate dinners, school graduation, docent-led tours, concerts and festivals.
